I got about 1500 out of an ATM at a bank in the last week and went to the counter to get $100 notes the slimy staff wanted ID and my ATM card before they would change it. It annoys me so I told them to FO (I know it's meaningless they could check the ATM).

I want our regulators to stop all this shit not encourage it. Make a banking licence require a certain number of branches and ATM and provide a service.

I got an email from NAB that they are cancelling Debit cards, so my savings account will not have a card any more. They seem to be saying that 'eligible' accounts can get a visa card.

I don't think this is driven by customer needs or complaints, you can use your phone for payment if you choose.

It looks like a push to make everything cashless. I don't use any phone apps or payment programs.

We're all farked.

I don't use my phone for anything but Calls & messages.

I don't want to carry around my life in a portable device that can be lost or stolen.

I've heard of the NFC scam that reads ur details from ur phone as ur making a payment. Whatever they think of, some smartarse hackers/criminals find a way to scam it.

Apparently the biggest/most intense use of AI is for scams/fakes/hacks.

Funniest/scariest reporting is the increase in the torture of individuals so as to hand over the details of their Crypto Accounts. Who said Crypto is Unhackable ( that's hack ur fingers off :LOL: about as secure as the wallet in ur back pocket )

Guess that's why they still find ancient Coins/Jewelry buried in the ground. Safe storage that can last 1,000's of years :unsure:
