Finally finished work for the year. The biggest issue with doing large scale prints like these is the potential for failure. If one capsule or lid has a printing issue, it can take the whole batch down with it. A lot can go wrong in 18 hours of straight printing. Once I'm done it will be the equivalent of 5-6 work weeks of full-time printing.
It isn't a matter of just sending the file to the printer and walking away either, each batch needs to be carefully monitored at the start to ensure the first layer adheres to the build plate. The build plate needs to be cleaned, the rails need lubricated periodically, and the filament needs to be managed.
It's pretty cool to be able to print these for you guys. I will give another day or two for any latecomers who want to place and order before orders are closed. Once the next few batches have been printed, I'll do a final post on what's on offer and the order limits for each item.
