Silver Silveroos round 50 cent coin tubes

So I bought myself a fancy 3D printer and one of my first projects was designing and printing these round 50 cent coin tubes.

The tubes hold 30 round 50 cent coins (or approx. 10ozs of silver) and have a nice Silveroos.com inlay on the side. This is the first batch I printed.

The prints take about an hour for each tube and cost 50 cents in materials to make.

I've run out of the matte blue filament pictured above (which happens to be my preferred colour) but have done some test prints in other colours. The next batch I do will likely be in Red and black.

I'd like Silveroos members to get first dibs on securing tubes at cost price. You would just need to pay for postage.

This is just an expression of interest at this stage, as I need to print a LOT more before they'll be on offer.

I was planning to scale the tubes up to fit the Silveroos rounds minted previously, and do another tube for generic rounds.

Given the shipping cost will far exceed the price of the tubes, it's probably best to wait until I print several batches so you can get a variety of tubes sent to you.

Because of the time it takes to print one tube, order limits will need to apply (likely 10 tubes total per member).

Comment below if you're down to have some tubes sent to you when they become available.

Mate, I would order 10 Tubes to fit 25 Standard Silver Rounds ( what they call 40mm ) :cool:

There's about 7 variations of generic coin sizes to make a tube like the round 50 cent tubes above practical to print for each coin type, but the plan was to produce a tube like this one below to accommodate most coin sizes.

This one holds 25 coins.

I'm in the process of making some other 1oz coin tube prototypes now, which appear to use a lot more material and take over twice as long to print.

I am also interested. Please let me/us know when your have sufficient stock And varieties sorted. I also like the 25 coin holder that separates each individual coin. Great idea. Cheers $
 
Quick update:

I've been modifying this case to suit the Silveroos rounds and meme rounds. It is sized to suit these rounds specifically and will only work for other coins/rounds with the same capsule thickness.

I'm very happy with the way it's turned out but they take ages to print. I'll only do a small batch of these and they will likely be limited to 1 per member. Total material cost is about $1.60.

I've printed a few of holders for the 1oz pew pew's. These will probably be limited to 2 per member. Material cost is about $0.60.

The 25 coin holder I shared in the second post was far too thin. The print file was rubbish. I might try modify the wall thickness and fill pattern later but for now I'm experimenting with another coin tube idea to suit 40mm+ coins.
